I have to admit thay my Dad, Steve,Sr. showed me where this spot was, but I had the idea to throw the buzzbait. He told me to throw the jig, and i had caught some nice ones already on it, but something told me to throw the buzzbait even though the water was still kind of cold. When it struck, Man! It sounded like someone dropped a cinder block off a 3 story building! I thought I had caught the same fish as my Dad had the year before, but now it was the STATE RECORD! It wasn't the same fish, it weighed 9 pounds, but man I thought I had beaten him. We had a fiberglass reproduction on it, and its on the wall in the guide service. |
