I had been casting and retrieving from shore for about two hours when there was a stoppage in my retrieve. At first I thought I had hooked the bottom so I gave the rod a smooth-gentle yank. In return there was a tug so I planted the hook. Using light line, I worked the salmon until she was tired and could be walked up on shore. It took about ten plus minutes. This hen weighed 20.6# and was exactly 36' long. This was the largest salmon I've had ever caught. |
