Caught a few moderate fish throughout the afternoon, but the real battles did not come until the 7pm-8pm hour. During that time we had 2-4 fish hooked up at any one time catching more in that hour than all day. Poor Alex got so tired he had to hand off the rods numerous times to his elders to finish the battle with fish only 30% of his size. Only one fish shy of our limit, with over a dozen getting away, Alex will not soon forget the fun and excitement of fighting fish stronger than himself. Next stop, the ocean… |
