Having gone salmon fishing several times without much luck, this day our guide Dave found this 16.6# hen King salmon in a deep hole on the Klamath River. After about twelve minutes fighting her, she was netted and I was bushed. It is hard to believe a fish can fight so hard then again using intermediate tackle with a barbless hook gives the fish a chance to throw the hook too. But this time I prevailed and ended up having the largest fish on the boat that day. |
