A friend and I were fishing at a local pond one afternoon, and we had probably already caught 5 or 6 bass, all of which were only about 2-3 lbs. Finally, we decided to head out because the bugs were getting bad. As we began to walk away, I said to my friend, 'Hold on, let me try one more cast.' He walked away. I threw out my spinnerbait, and after a second or two, something hit the lure really hard. I could see the fishing line, moving through the water as the fish took off. I reeled in the slack, and set the hook. By the time I reeled it in, my friend had made his way over to where I was fishing from, saying 'no way.' This story just goes to show that maybe one more cast wont hurt. :] |
