| I took my little, 10ft. Sportsman 10 by Sun Dolphin out on the lake at safe light, and headed to a point extending into the lake where i saw a little activity the day before. On my second cast, i felt a THUMP on my rod that only a big fish can do. i still feel that thump in my dreams. Well after nervously counting back from 5, i finally sucked it up and set the hook. Of course, being in such a small boat, she took off for the weeds, and my boat went with her! I then faught her for a good 10 minutes untill she shot under my boat, and jumped on the other side. Next, i pulled back with all my might and got her close enough to the boat to net her. I swooped down the net, and felt the heaviness of the fish. Wow, this is huge, i thought to my self. Finally, i pulled her safely in the boat, and as i motioned to remove the hook lodged perfectly in the corner of her mouth, it simply fell right out and into the palm of my hand! |
