Paddled out on my kayak at 4:30AM with a couple of my friends. We launched out of Moss Landing Harbor, Northern California. We trolled 4 miles towards Pajaro and began seeing bait on our fish finders. At 250 feet, we switched to mooching and began dropping our bait down to 80 feet. While I was stripping my line down to 60 feet, my line went slack. I knew I had a fish on! I reeled in and the battle began! The brute towed me along till it finally tired out. After a 15 minute battle, I got it close enough to net and subdue. What a day!! |
