We were drifting along jigging the bottom on a beautiful California day. I set my pole in the rod holder to grab another beer and a sandwich. My buddy saids, 'DUDE!' and pointed to my rod. I grabbed the rod, and it felt like I had a Batray on the line. I knew that it wasn't the Lingcod we were fishing for. The fish came up slowly, felt like a log. When it came into view, I dang near soiled myself. Second Halibut I've ever caught. It looks like I am struggling to hold the fish, but in reality - my are was very sore from jigging the pole for 2 days (carpol-tunnel). MMM.... fresh Halibut... |
