bounced lure off a cypres, strike was immediate! I could tell it was a nice croppie so i had to pull him gently but firmly trhough all kinds of brush to get it in the boat. the picture if of my fishing pardner 'Rowdy' inspecting the fish. He does OK as long as they lay still, but if they flop around they could wind up being scaled before I can intervien. This fish was still so I was able to release him to fight another day. This was one of thos great days when a mild cold front was in the process of moving in and the conditions were ideal. That same lure caught Bass, croppie and goggle eye and was almost completely worn ought at the end of the day. |
